RITC Interview with Kevin and Sgan from the 2009 Paris, Zenith DVD:

The interview is done by Kevin Rinaldy and Sgan. Both of these guys are the ones that are bringing the first european multi-cam together for everyone to view. I am very excited to see the final product of this show as the quality is really good for some standard def shots (see youtube video below). This is not the final product, but they are getting near it. So enjoy!

Questions

1. You certainly have a lot of sources for this edit, how much of these are quality shots (HD vs. Standard Def vs. digital camera vs. camcorder) and complete sources?

We got a lot of different videos sent by 28 different people. Mostly standard definition and digital camera shots. But we got two or three HD angles. That’s why we can’t edit a hd version of this project (its 100% audience shot). But I think that we’ll include on the dvd one or two songs as a bonus only using the hd sources.

2. How many people are working on it and what type of editing are you using for this project?

There are only two of us working on the project. Sgan is working on video editing, dvd authoring, website and graphics. Kevin ‘Kercyx’ Rinaldy is managing the project, contacting all the people who is involved.

To edit this project we use Adobe premiere pro CS3.

3. Was there any tweaking of teething's audio source?

We mixed the audio sources with one from a Panasonic camera which get a better bass frequency and we do some little correction using ableton live 7.

4. When can we see a release of the edit and what type of release are we looking at? Physical and or torrent?

The edit will be available on torrent,(in a dvd form) and youtube. Other formats should come later. We hope to release it on July 7th, for the birthday of this show.

5. Where can people get the latest info on the project?

People can follow the project on our website : Here (English version)
Twitter : http://twitter.com/NINPARIS2009
And facebook : Here

6) I always ask this... what is your favorite NIN song live and why?

Sgan: Very hard to keep just only one song live , that should depend of the mood from the band, people...”March of pigs” is one of my favourite live song. Speedy, destructive, kicking ass...and then the break before the final destruction. I like how much the band is always unchained during this song.

Kevin: REALLY hard to choose but I think Somewhat Damaged is my favorite live song : it’s really different from the album version : the acapella intro, then drums come and everything is on fire…The most kicking ass intro ever in my opinion. Ruiner is fucking great too. My only regret is not to have heard “And all that could have been” live, that is the most beautiful/sad song wrote by Trent.

Everyone stay tuned to RITC for the latest on this project! There is something to be announced in the coming week!
